Mango
Juicy Peach
History
From Gary Zill's breeding program in Boynton Beach, Florida.
Taste profile
Soft, exceptionally juicy, fiberless flesh with a dominant peach-and-tangerine flavor and a bright, well-balanced acidity - one of the more distinctly "peach-flavored" mangoes in cultivation.
Growing habits
A vigorous, spreading tree, kept manageable at 8-15 feet with annual pruning. Mid-season, typically June to July. Ripens quickly and goes overripe within just a few days of picking, so it needs to be eaten soon after harvest - not a variety to let sit.
Shipping
Does not ship well. Very short window of peak ripeness and a soft, delicate texture make it a poor candidate for shipping or extended storage.
